In The Game Of Craps The Pit Bosses At Most Casinos Seem To Really Dislike When People Come To The Table With?
large sums of money and place large bets. Has anyone else noticed this or have found it to commonly be true? For instance, if someone comes to the table with $5000 and continues to bet $500 (the house limit in this example) on the hard eight until it hits, do you think the pit bosses would frown on this or just watch that person closer than the other players?

The Pitbosses are accountable for knowing where the money goes. Not so much the red and green chips, but the black and purple (100 & 500 denominations) chips, they have to track every one. At the end of their shift, their banks must be tallied, and if it is down, they need to be able to tell their boss, the pit manager, who the chips went to and how many.
Therefore, the scenario you are referring to basically means that they will have to watch that table more closely. Usually, they have more than 1 table to keep an eye on in their pit. So this means that until this person leaves, their job is harder.
They also will have to keep an extra eye on the dealers to ensure there is no collusion and that everything is paid correctly.

Do you mean the Box man?
The PIt boss isn’t there to sweat the cash, he needs to be kept informed of whats going on on the table. Craps isn’t like other games it’s ran by the Box man not the Pit boss.

nordy is a moron….if he comes to the table with $5000 the pit boss already know he brought $50,000 to lose so yes he is watched more closely to make sure he is taken care of getting drunk and getting laid………
