What is the difference between street craps, i.e. craps played on the street, in a bar, versus casino craps, i.e. played on an actual craps table with croupier and such. It seems like playing on the street would tone down the game quite a bit. Thanks.

There are two main differences between street craps and vegas style craps.
One is that you need to find someone to wager for and against the shooter in street craps. In a casino environment it doesn’t matter what people want to bet on, as the casino will book the action. Obviously, the game can not continue in street craps if no one wants to bet against the shooter.
The other difference is that street craps is a much simpler game. It is just wagering on whether the line will be passed. You can’t place numbers, bet hard-ways, make come bets, or one roll bets. It is also very unlikely that there would be any field action either.
