I am going to Las Vegas in a few weeks and I am a beginner at the table games. I want to try out craps after playing the free online casinos. Where are the best places for a beginner to go that has good odds and cheaper minimum bets? I prefer to go to places on the Strip or downtown.

I will be in Lake Tahoe staying at a casino resort this Thursday. Does anyone have any suggestions for me relating to gambling - What games do you recommend and what to play on those games? I like Craps & Roulette but have not had too much success. Does anyone have any plays they recommend?
First, there are no ‘real’ crap games in California, as it’s illegal.
However, if you want a California style craps game (uses cards) at a decent casino with a hotel, try Barona in San Diego. It’s friendly and the hotel is decent.
I am planning a visit to Banff with a dance group, but I’m staying in Calgary for one night… I love to gamble, so I’m trying to find out what the best casino in the area is in regards to the poker room and craps tables (my two favoritge games). Food is not a high priority, but any reviews would be a bonus… thanks!

Does it matter if you end your weekend with winnings or a loss?
If you only play conservatively/the pass line with odds, are you worth a free hotel nights to the casino?
